RiverPitch TV Series 2019 Recap
Catch up on the first season, as 24 Australian entrepreneurs from around the country compete to win a prize valued at $20,000 and to be named the overall winner of RiverPitch!
Each of our fantastic contestants is an Australian owned business who is looking to scale-up and take their company to the next level. Australia has a great history of creating world changing innovative technology. ACS and River City Labs are supporting this program to continue to highlight and champion these entrepreneurs so that they can become a household name and take on the world.
Over the course of eight weeks each contestant will work with an industry leader to shape and perfect their pitch, to ensure that they are always coming out on top. The RiverPitch mentors each come from a long history of supporting and investing in start-ups, making them the ideal people to give support and guidance to our next generation of tech businesses.
Steve Baxter, investor and founder of Transition Level Investments, who was also a judge on reality show Shark Tank, is the Brisbane mentor. Sheona Devin, Executive Director for VIANT Group, is the mentor for Melbourne. Sheona is an investor who has also personally founded a successful business. Peter James, the mentor for Sydney, is the chairman across a number of disruptive and innovative companies such as Droneshield, Nearmap, Aquabotix and Macquarie Telecom.
Once the contestants have made it through the first round they will be judged by Yohan Ramasundara, President - ACS, Andrew Johnson, Chief Executive Officer - ACS and Siobhan Hayden, COO - HashChing. The judges will be listening to each pitch to determine the viability of the product to scale, if they answer market needs and if the entrepreneur exhibits the passion to propel them through the challenges ahead.
Join ACS as we cheer on these amazing Australian Entrepreneurs!
